WELCOME TO RIBBLESDALE PARK
Ribblesdale Park was once the home of Lord Ribblesdale’s deer park hence its old name Deer Park Farm. It then became a state of the art farm that my grandfather built 50 years ago. Sadly with the farming economy as it is, the farm became redundant 10 years ago and remained in a sorry state which inspired my father to apply for planning permission. The ownership fell to me in March 2003 when my father died and it was in the same month that the planning permission was granted and we cracked on with our dream of creating Ribblesdale Park.
It is a family run business with longevity in mind. Our intention is to create a truly civilised holiday / residential experience on the Estate with various restaurants and activities for all to enjoy.
My training was as an artist (www.guyhindleyartist.com) where I achieved a MFA at The University of the City of New York. During my time in New York I exhibited my work at Marvelli Gallery in Chelsea. Sadly due to my commitments here I am unable to continue with my painting but one day I hope to get back to it. It did teach me though that attention to detail was everything in whatever you do and that is certainly true in this business.
I am married to a Californian actress called Amber Mead and she has taught me a lot about the American style of service. I hope that this comes through is in your experience here at Ribblesdale Park.
I hope you have a pleasant stay with us and if anything isnt quite right please don’t hesitate to say.
All the best
